I remember how excited I was when my mom put up the Dixie Cup dispenser.

Here is to the good old days when tobacco companies used a baby to sell Dad's cigarettes.

Let's not forget Mom's smoking needs. Little Billy, with the standard-issue approving hubby standing by, is so happy to give his mom her new lighter. After all, she is no mechanic - a regular lighter may be too much for her to figure out.

I am finally getting around to updating this site. I have added a new page to Drink, Food and Smoke, as that is by far the most popular section on this site. Home and Life is also getting new ones, later this week. Have fun looking around!

Finally getting around to updating! I am almost out of source material and am waiting for a stack of vintage magazines. I added a few pages so look around for anything with 2010. I plan to be updating all week, as time permits. Enjoy the site!

March 24, 2009 - National Geographic Magazine

People never threw these magazines away. They were simply too nice to get rid of. Sometimes they end up at places like Half-Price Books, where I found about 60 old issues, starting from the 1930's and going up to recent issues. I bought 12, all from the 1950's. They are full of great ads. The ads are mostly in the Travel section, and feature a fantastic series of ads by the Bank of America Cheques. There are also other ads for cars, aviation and industry. Enjoy!
